Flying to Italie
The most widely used means of transport to travel to Italie, it only takes around 2 hours of flight to connect Paris to Rome.
Many airlines offer daily flights between the two capitals: Air France, Alitalia, RyanAir…
Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Malpensa airports are Italie's two largest, but most major cities have facilities.
Getting to Italie by boat
Located in the heart of the Mediterranean, it is entirely possible to reach Italie by boat from Marseille or Corsica for example, as well as from neighbouring countries such as Greece, Croatia, Tunisia, Montenegro, Albania or Malta. The main ports of Italie are those of Genoa, Venice, Naples, Palermo, Cagliari, Ancona, Olbia and Trieste.
Departing from Marseille, ferries connect to the port of Genoa, and the port of Toulon also offers departures to Italie.
Travelling to Italie by bus
Due to its proximity to France, bus travel represents the most economical option to reach Italie.
There are several coach companies departing from various French and European cities. The journey is more budget-friendly but nonetheless longer. You'll need to exercise patience and find ways to keep yourself entertained during the trip.

High-speed TGV lines connect France to Italie. However, train travel often ranks among the most expensive options, especially if you're departing from northern France or Paris.
